Ananya, a software engineer from Bangalore, wanted to take her first solo trip — something that would give her both adventure and peace. After connecting with Meenakshi at Travel Gurukuls, she chose Bali, and it turned out to be one of the most fulfilling decisions she ever made.
She stayed at a serene villa in Ubud, surrounded by lush rice fields and tall coconut trees. Every morning began with a yoga session overlooking green landscapes, followed by a simple Balinese breakfast of fresh fruits and coconut water. During the day, she explored ancient temples like Tanah Lot, trekked to hidden waterfalls, and took part in a Balinese cooking class where she learned to make Nasi Goreng and Satay.
One of her favorite memories was cycling through small villages and talking to locals who welcomed her with warm smiles. At night, she enjoyed quiet walks along Seminyak Beach, watching the sun melt into the horizon. She wrote in her diary that Bali made her feel “more alive and connected to herself than ever before.”
For Ananya, this wasn’t just a trip. It was a journey of independence, courage, and self-discovery — something that would stay with her forever.
